ARDMORE SOUND SHORT FILM COMPETITION

A major part of the Solas Film Festival each year will be a student/graduate short film competition. We are seeking short films to compete for the award of best short film. The prize is a day's professional sound work in Ardmore Sound in Wicklow.

Irish shorts, which fulfill the criteria below, will be eligible for the Short Film Prize in Association with Ardmore Sound. There will be 10 films shortlisted and shown during the festival shorts programme.The winning film will also be screened before the main film on the day of the festival and win a prize of a days sound mix at Ardmore Sound worth €2,000.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Short film entries must be:

• Up to 15 minutes long
• Made in the last 2 years
• Made in Ireland
• Made by students or recent graduates
• All screening rights for copyrighted music and images must be in place.
• Be submitted on DVD ready for screening
• Be accompanied by the submission form provided.

Please note:

If submitting more than one film please complete a separate entry form for each film.

DVD's submitted cannot be returned.

Only successful applicants will be notified by email.

Closing date for submissions is Monday, May 18th , 2009.
